1976

Dobeles Dzirnavnieks was launched under the initial name of Jelgava Grain Combine. The first grain silo and heavy duty drying-kiln were built.

1979

Construction of a combined animal feed plant and the second grain silo were completed. The company was renamed “Dobele Grain Products Combine”.

1982

The mill was put into operation.

1991

The enterprise acquired the current name “Dobeles Dzirnavnieks”.

1995

The enterprise was privatised and the current joint stock company "Dobeles Dzirnavnieks" was established.

1999

The enterprise introduced and certified its quality control system according to the ISO 9001:1994 standard. Since then the company has been operating in compliance with ISO standards. The HACCP food safety system was introduced.

2004

Animal feed production equipment from the company “Bühler” was installed, ensuring the accurate dosing of raw materials and the homogeneity of the fodder produced.

2008

JSC "Dobeles Dzirnavnieks" entered into partnership with an international food concern which includes Germany’s largest mill "Saalemühle Alsleben" GmbH and Estonia’s largest mill “Tartu Veski” amongst its resources.

2009

JSC “Dobeles Dzirnavnieks” ranked eighth amongst Latvian food producers in terms of its turnover. The turnover of the company in 2008 was 29 million LVL (Dienas Bizness Top 500).

Grain reception intake were renovated and new grain pre-cleaning devices were installed. These measures provided for a considerable increase in grain reception capacity.

2010

A production plant for different grain flakes was launched.

Food and animal feed warehouses were reconstructed, resulting in increased warehousing capacity and optimized logistics.

2011

A new wheat mill, the most modern in the Baltics, was put in operation. The operating capacity of the mill is 400 t of grain daily.

Construction of a powerful pasta plant and new grain drying-kiln was started.
